On Nov 26th, We had an informative session about Walk Audit process, it was comprehensive guide how to do evaluation of pedestrian conditions in a specific area, aimed at identifying safety hazards and accessibility barriers.
It involved assessing factors such as the quality of sidewalks, crosswalks, signage, lighting, and overall connectivity. The audit focused on safety, accessibility for individuals with disabilities, infrastructure condition, walkability, and environmental factors.
Community feedback is often incorporated to ensure the audit reflects real-world experiences. The goal is to identify improvements that enhance pedestrian safety, accessibility, and create a more walkable environment. In the end a survey was handed over to members to conduct same in their neighbourhood.
