She provided a clear explanation of the foundational parts of Medicare—Hospital Insurance (Part A) and Medical Insurance (Part B)—noting their availability to individuals aged 65 and older, as well as to those under 65 who have qualifying disabilities.
Ms. Aacharya also shed light on MassHealth, the Massachusetts state program that offers essential financial assistance to low-income seniors and people with disabilities. This program helps cover costs such as Medicare premiums, deductibles, and copayments.
