FISCO hosted an engaging and informative Alzheimer’s awareness and brain‑health session on Tuesday, May 12, at its new Foxborough Center. The program, Supporting Brain Health in Our Community, was presented in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association and brought together seniors and community members for an afternoon of learning, wellness, and connection.
Participants explored the latest research on Alzheimer’s disease and brain health, along with practical, everyday habits that support memory and cognitive strength. From staying socially active to eating well, exercising, managing stress, and keeping the mind stimulated, attendees learned how small choices can make a meaningful difference, both now and in the long term.
The conversation was lively and thoughtful. Guests asked questions, shared personal experiences, and reflected on the importance of staying informed about brain health. Many appreciated having a welcoming, supportive space where they could learn openly and comfortably.
The event also highlighted the growing role of FISCO’s Foxborough Center as a hub for education, social connection, and wellness programming for seniors. After the session, attendees enjoyed a warm vegetarian meal together, continuing conversations and building new friendships over lunch.
The afternoon was not only educational but uplifting; a reminder that caring for our brains is a lifelong journey, strengthened by community, awareness, and healthy living.
