On June 3rd and 4th, 2025, FISCO organized a much-anticipated overnight trip to three remarkable destinations: Vraj Hindu Temple, Hershey’s Chocolate World, and Akshardham Temple.
The adventure began bright and early, as a bus full of enthusiastic 56 members boarded at the Burlington Senior Center at 6:00 AM . Spirits were high as everyone settled in for the journey.
Laughter and joy filled the air as the group sang devotional songs, shared stories, and cracked jokes, creating a warm and lively atmosphere on the bus. The sense of community and togetherness was truly heartwarming, setting the perfect tone for the trip ahead.
Members mada a stop at Kathiyawadi resturant VATAN, NJ 🇮🇳🍽️ and had a truly delightful meal. The spread was rich with authentic Kathiyawadi dishes that took us straight to Gujarat. The seniors especially loved the Rotla, vaghareli khichdi, sev tomato shaak, ringan batata, and Lilva kachori. The rotli, Gulab jamun, refreshing chaas, and fresh paan rounded out the meal beautifully.
The group’s first stop was the serene and spiritual Vraj temple, where they had the opportunity to offer prayers and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Next, they traveled to Hershey, Pennsylvania, where everyone indulged their sweet tooth at Hershey’s Chocolate World. The interactive exhibits and delicious samples brought out the childlike excitement in every participant.
Next day journey concluded with a visit to the stunning Akshardham Temple along with lunch, where members admired the breathtaking architecture and soaked in the tranquil ambiance.
The group returned with hearts full of joy, minds enriched with spiritual and cultural experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime.
